My abstract paintings shadow me. That day that moment and my spirit I show in performance. Welcome to my world. I swiftly live with nature. Some days it is nature in true form some days it is abstracted. That is why you see a variety of works. “October Two,” was painted before I moved my studio so it has a new sense of freedom. “Harvest Torsos,” is part of a Torso series I started in 1988 . This family painting now has a new generation. They make a great pair!
My flower paintings began in 2019. With oil using my color and love of thick paint bring the outside into my home. I always have fresh flowers why not let me learn from them. This summer I had a client wanting an ink painting . Light and airy portrait of Austin. So I approached the flowers with new enthusiasm using the same broad stokes but discovering the patterns that presented themselves. New discovery is how we grow.
This was the first painting in my new studio . Freedom with the palette knife. My fish are back! Making a new home in Times Square!
Barton Springs has been a source of energy for me. So I go there and paint from life . These paintings are small I am sharing my moment in time with you!
I don’t just paint dancers I paint one and only one who has given me inspiration since she was 14 years old. Joy Womack, talks to me. Thats all I need to say. When I paint form and freedom and grace she is my teacher.
This Austin scene in life is grand and the colors are like sherbet.
I was commissioned by Pecan Street Festival, 2019 to paint Austin with music with history . So the Driscoll Hotel and Barton Springs were my subject. I was honored!
The Flower girl was from Saltillo, Mexico.
I created this sculptured painting after visiting Santa Monica. The young girl who posed was lovely and FUN!
